Who we are

This website is run by Widget Tech Project Management Services LLC, Sarah Building, Office 301, Al Garhoud, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“Widget Tech”, “we”, “us”). We decide how the personal data described here is used, and we are responsible for it.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you and quote the work.

• When you use the contact form: your name, email address and the message you write.
• When you call, email or message us on WhatsApp: your name, phone number or email, and whatever you choose to send us, such as photos of the property or a list of works.
• When we visit the property or prepare a quote: the property address, your contact details, and notes and photos of the areas to be worked on.
• When you visit the website: our hosting server records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested and the time of the request. This is kept for security and to keep the site running. Google Analytics also records how you use the site (see Cookies and analytics).

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive data such as health information, identity document numbers or payment card details through the website.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange a site visit.
• To prepare a written quote and, if you go ahead, to plan, carry out and hand over the work, and to provide maintenance under an annual maintenance contract.
• To keep records we must keep by law, such as contracts and invoices.
• To protect the website against misuse and attacks.

We use your details on the basis of your request to us, the contract we agree with you, our legal obligations, or your consent. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them, and we never sell or rent your personal data.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is needed for the purposes above:

• Service providers who run our website and email, such as our web hosting company and our email delivery service. They process data on our instructions only.
• Google (Google Analytics): receives website usage data as described under Cookies and analytics below.
• Google (Google Analytics): receives website usage data as described under Cookies and analytics below.
• Content delivery services used by the pages: the fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts and Bunny Fonts, and some photos from Unsplash. When a page loads, your browser connects to these services, and they receive your IP address and browser information.
• WhatsApp (Meta): only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp. Their own privacy policy applies to that conversation.
• Authorities: where UAE law requires us to disclose information.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive (for example from a search engine), the type of device and browser, the approximate location (city or country) and actions such as sending the contact form or tapping our WhatsApp or phone link. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_*) that last up to two years, and Google processes this data on our behalf. We use it only in aggregate to improve the website; we do not use it to identify you, and we do not use advertising features or tracking pixels.

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The website works normally without them. Other cookies are set only for website administrators when they log in.

Transfers outside the UAE

Some of the service providers named above store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the provider offers and the transfer rules of UAE data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not become a project for up to 24 months after our last contact, then delete them. For clients, we keep project and contract records for as long as UAE law requires, and maintenance records for the duration of the contract. Server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider.

How we protect it

The website runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, administrator access is restricted, and the software is kept up to date. No system is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive data through the website.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
• restrict or stop using your data;
• send your data to you in a commonly used electronic format;
• withdraw a consent you gave us, at any time.

Email info@thewidgettech.com with your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we aim to reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

Children

This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the way we handle personal data changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Last updated: 23 September 2026.
